Croatian group LELEK, who represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna this month, have achieved success in the United Kingdom, setting multiple records for Croatian and regional music.
Their Eurovision song “Andromeda” has officially entered the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, becoming the first ever song performed in the Croatian language to reach the prestigious chart.
The result marks a significant milestone not only for the group, but also for Croatian music internationally, as no Croatian-language track has previously appeared within the UK Top 100 singles chart.
LELEK also achieved strong positions across additional UK charts. On the Official Singles Sales Chart, which measures combined physical and digital sales excluding streaming, “Andromeda” debuted at number 97 as a new entry. The song performed slightly better on the Official Singles Downloads Chart, which tracks digital purchases only, where it reached number 92.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the group described the achievement as a “historic moment for Croatian music.”
“Our song “Andromeda” has debuted on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100. With this, it has become the first song in the Croatian language ever to enter the UK Top 100 chart. LELEK is also only the third Croatian artist in history to reach the UK Singles Chart, alongside Ivo Robić and Baby Lasagna. Symbolically, we are also the first female artist and group from the entire region to appear on that chart,” said LELEK, which consists of Inka Večerina Perušić, Judita Štorga, Korina Olivia Rogić, Lara Brtan and Marina Ramljak.
