LegendFest 2015 – A Festival of Folk Tales, Legends & Myths

unnamedWitches, wizards, and mythical creatures will be the main theme of the 2nd Legendfest, a family festival folk tales, legends and myths of the Zagreb County, which will be organized by Val culture and the Museum of Turopolje and held on from 30 – 31 May in the old town of Lukavac near Velika Gorica just outside the Croatian capital…

This unique festival, inspired by folk tradition, will this year again offer a variety of free events, exhibitions, theater performances, musical programmes. workshops, reading stories and lessons to visitors of all ages.

Among other things, visitors will be able to consult with witches in the witch’s lair, get introduced to a palm reader, pass the witches exam, make their own witches broom, and join famous artist Nikola Faller in making straw sculptures of witches.

During the festival there will also be music concerts from Anita Valo, Meri Jaman, Jelena Radan and Ivan Kristijan Majić and others.
