Mi o vuku, a vuk na vrata

The phrase Mi o vuku, a vuk na vrata is basically the Croatian equivalent of ‘speak of the devil’…to be talking about someone, who then will appear. The literal translation of the phrase is – While we are talking about the wolf, the wolf is on the doorstep.

Example – “This party is rocking…geez, all it needs now is for that player Vincent to turn up and spoil it with his obnoxious behaviour” – “Oh, look who has just walked thru the door! Vincent!…Mi o vuku, a vuk na vrata
