Kate Moss and Goran Bogdan star in Gucci campaign filmed in Zagreb

What appeared to be a highly secretive fashion production at a Zagreb hotel in June has now been revealed as the setting for Gucci’s new Primavera campaign, starring British supermodel Kate Moss and Croatian actor Goran Bogdan.
The campaign’s short film, directed by acclaimed Swedish filmmaker Johan Renck, was released on Tuesday and was filmed at the former Hotel I on Lanište in Zagreb.
In the film, Moss appears in a long black sequinned dress and lip-syncs to Chris Isaak’s iconic song Wicked Game. A room filled with strangers gradually transforms into a dance floor as people pair up, creating a cinematic story centred on connection, emotion and new beginnings.
Bogdan appears alongside Moss in several scenes, wearing a double-breasted suit. His participation places the Croatian actor among an international cast assembled for one of Gucci’s major new campaigns.
The production had attracted attention in Zagreb several weeks before the campaign was released.
In June, activity around the Lanište hotel included international models, production vehicles, tents and security personnel, while parts of the building were shielded from public view. Strict measures were reportedly put in place to prevent details of the shoot from being revealed.
At the time, it was not publicly known what was being filmed. One of the more noticeable details was a hotel balcony covered by heavy black curtains.
The mystery has now been resolved with the release of the Gucci film.

Primavera, meaning “spring” in Italian, is built around themes of love, emotional awakening and renewal. The campaign forms part of Gucci’s new creative direction under Demna, and accompanies the collection presented during his first Gucci runway show.
The campaign also features a wider international group of names from fashion, music, film and sport, including Tom Brady, Shawn Mendes, Rico Nasty, EsDeeKid, Alex Consani and Lee Young Ae.
