KARLOVAC, 15 July 2026 – The Nikola Tesla Experience Center in Karlovac will mark the anniversary of Nikola Tesla’s graduation from school in the city with a special interactive programme on 24 July, inviting visitors of all ages to take part in a unique educational experience.
The event, titled ‘Pass Tesla’s Graduation Exam’, commemorates 24 July 1873, the day Tesla graduated in the Croatian city of Karlovac, where he spent formative school years that helped shape his curiosity, way of thinking and future scientific career.
As part of the regular visit to the centre, visitors will receive a graduation booklet and complete five themed stations inspired by Tesla’s life, science and innovation.
Participants will collect stamps throughout the experience before receiving an Innovator’s Diploma at the end of the tour.

The programme has been designed for all visitors, with a particular focus on families and children. Young participants will explore interactive learning activities centred on Tesla’s world, while adults can take on a shortened version of the ‘Graduation Exam 1873’, inspired by the subjects and knowledge expected of students in Tesla’s time, to see whether they would have passed.
The Nikola Tesla Experience Center is an interactive attraction dedicated to the inventor’s life and legacy. Rather than a traditional museum, it encourages visitors to actively engage with experiments, installations and hands-on exhibits that combine science, learning and play.
The centre is located next to Karlovac Gymnasium, formerly the Royal Higher Real School, where Tesla completed his education. Its exhibitions present Tesla’s story in a way designed to engage modern audiences, including children, families and school groups.

Organisers say the programme offers residents and tourists an opportunity to celebrate an important milestone in Tesla’s life while discovering Karlovac’s role in his education and early development.
The special event takes place as part of the centre’s regular admission on 24 July at its premises in Rakovac 6, Karlovac.
