Free entry in Karlovac for those born on Nikola Tesla’s birthday

KARLOVAC, 1 July 2026 – The Nikola Tesla Experience Center Karlovac has announced a special campaign offering free admission throughout July 2026 to visitors born on 10 July, the same date as inventor Nikola Tesla’s birth.
The initiative forms part of commemorations marking the 170th anniversary of Tesla’s birth and aims to highlight Karlovac’s connection to one of the world’s most influential scientists.
To qualify for free entry, visitors must present a valid identification document at the information desk confirming their date of birth.
The offer is valid until 31 July 2026.

In addition to the free admission benefit for those born on 10 July, visitors born at any time during July are eligible for a 20% discount on individual and family tickets, also upon presentation of identification.
The Experience Centre, located at Rakovac 6 in Karlovac, next to the Gymnasium Karlovac building where Tesla once studied, offers an interactive approach to learning about the inventor’s life and legacy.

Unlike a traditional museum, the centre features hands-on experiments, multimedia installations, and interactive exhibits designed to engage visitors of all ages.
The exhibitions present Tesla’s life, education, personality and scientific ideas in an accessible and modern format, aimed particularly at families, school groups and younger audiences.

Through the campaign titled “July in Karlovac in the Sign of Nikola Tesla,” the centre seeks to further promote Karlovac as an important location in Tesla’s educational journey and encourage both residents and tourists to explore his legacy in an engaging, educational setting.
