Karlovac Famous Brewery Changes Name To Heineken Croatia

Karlovac Brewery (Karlovacka pivovara), which was founded in 1854 and is home to one of Croatia’s most famous beers Karlovacko, has officially changed its name to Heineken Croatia, it was announced at a press conference in Karlovac brewery on Friday.

Karlovac Brewery, which has operated for ten years under the ownership of Dutch brewer Heineken Group, confirmed it would be business as usual despite the name change.

“Taking the name Heineken is a logical continuation of business within Europe’s leading brewer, but the change in the name of the company shall in no way affect the operations or the future for the breweries most famous brand “Karlovacko”, said CEO Alexander Gerschbacher.
The name change has been rubber stamped by the Ministry of Public Administration and will be implemented in the coming months.
