Jastrebarsko strawberries&sparkling wine festival on 11 & 12 May

2 May 2019 – A new festival combining local seasonal fruit and champagne will take place in May in Jastrebarsko, just outside of Croatian capital Zagreb.
Strawberries & Sparkling Wine Festival (Festival Jagoda&Pjenušaca) will take place on 11 & 12 May 2019 at Erdödy castle gardens.
Visitors will be able to sample strawberries and sparkling wine from the region as well as enjoy a music and entertainment programme.
On Saturday 11 May, there will be a concert in the afternoon as well as a workshop on the topic of sparkling wines starting at 6 pm. On Sunday, over 50 oldtimer cars from the Samobor Oldtimers Club will be on display.
Sparkling wines from Ivančić, Jagunić, Kolarić, Korak, Kurtalj, Kunović, Režek, Tomac and Šember will represented at the festival, as will a number of local strawberry producers represented by the Prsten Strawberry Association.
