Jadrolinija launches new Zadar–Mali Lošinj fast ferry line for summer season

A new seasonal fast ferry service linking Zadar and Mali Lošinj, with a stop on the island of Silba, has been officially announced following a meeting at the headquarters of Jadrolinija in Rijeka.

The meeting brought together Jadrolinija’s President of the Management Board Robert Blažinović, Board Member Marija Zaputović Mavrinac, and the Mayor of Mali Lošinj, Ana Kučić.

The focus was the launch of the new commercial seasonal fast ferry line, which will operate daily during the peak tourist season.

The new service will directly connect Zadar with Mali Lošinj, calling at Silba along the way. The introduction of a daily fast ferry between Zadar and Mali Lošinj has been welcomed with strong optimism by Mayor Kučić, who highlighted its importance for the town’s tourism and overall connectivity.

The new route opens an additional gateway for both domestic and international tourists travelling to one of the most recognisable island destinations in the Kvarner region.

It further strengthens transport links between the northern and central Adriatic, improving accessibility across key coastal hubs.

Importantly, the line has been established in response to an initiative from the local community. Feedback and partnership with local stakeholders have played a significant role in shaping Jadrolinija’s strategy for developing new routes and adapting services to meet the real needs of destinations.
