Croatian international Ivan Rakitić has signed a contract extension with Spanish giants Barcelona on Friday.
The midfielder, who is celebrating his 29th birthday also today, signed a deal which will see him stay at the club until 2021.
If any club wants to buy Rakitić then a new world transfer record will be set as the club have put in a £109m buyout clause.
The current record was paid by Manchester United when they forked out £89m for Paul Pogba from Juventus.
Rakitić, who featured in Barcelona’s amazing victory over PSG on Wednesday night, has made 145 appearances for the club since arriving in 2014 from Seville.
