ZAGREB, 18 February 2020 – Promising Dinamo Zagreb defender and two-cap Croatian international Dino Peric has had his Euro 2020 dream ended by injury.

The 25-year-old defender, who made his debut for Croatia in the crucial final Euro qualifier against Slovakia in October and was a good chance to make Zlatko Dalic’s squad for Euro 2020, will be out of action for at least six months after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament during Dinamo’s clash with Osijek on Sunday.

Peric will undergo surgery, followed by a long recovery period and is not expected to play again for around six months.

Peric, who stands 197cm tall, has also represented Croatia at U-18, U-19, and U-20 level, scoring twice in a total of seven appearances. He has 35 appearances so far for Dinamo Zagreb, scoring once and was impressive during the club’s recent Champions League campaign.
