IKEA’s Website Crashes in Croatia After Posting Job Vacancies

IKEAIKEA’s internet site has crashed in Croatia yesterday after the company posted 29 job vacancies on the site…

The Swedish furniture giants, who will open its first store in Croatia in spring next year in Zagreb, announced the vacancies on Friday with its servers not able to withstand the huge interest from Croats applying for jobs. For 35 minutes the site was down because of the mad rush, before it returned to normal. Close to 1,000 Croats applied for positions at IKEA back in October when the first round of vacancies were announced. IKEA expect to hire a total of 200 people before the store opens next year.
