ZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) – Live coverage of the 70th edition of the Boris Hanzekovic Memorial, an international athletics meet which takes place in Zagreb on Tuesday evening, can be followed on TV stations in 104 countries on six continents, the event’s organisers say.

This international competition, which is at the level of WA Continental Tour Gold meetings, can be viewed live on TV that will be televised by TV stations including the American NBC broadcaster, the Spanish RTVE TV channel, the Polish TVP, the Swedish SVT,  the French L’Equipe among others.

The competition starts at 5:50 p.m Croatian time on Tuesday.

This year’s 70th edition of the Boris Hanzekovic Memorial differs from its previous editions due to the COVID pandemic, and the number of spectators at the Mladost Sports Park in Zagreb on September 15 is capped at 700.

A host of stars will be competing on Tuesday night in Zagreb, including double Olympic champion Sandra Perkovic, European and former world 200m champion Ramil Guliyev, world vice 800m champion Amel Tuka and rising Australian high jump star Nicola McDermott, who also has Croatian roots.

On Monday,  American shot putter and discus thrower Ryan Crouser won the shot put event, setting a new record of 2274 metres. The event was held next to the city fountains and National and University Library but without spectators.
