Huge Success for Young Croatian Baritones at International Competition in Helsinki

Croatia1Two young Croatian baritones have enjoyed huge success at one of the most prestigious international competitions…

Matija Meić (27) and Leon Košavić (23) have come second and third respectively at the 7th Annual Mirjam Helin International Singing Competition held in Helsinki last week. Meić also picked up 3,000 euros in prize-money for winning the ‘best performance by a non-Finnish singer of a Finnish song’ at the contest, which saw around 400 singers from all over the world register to compete, before being whittled down to 46 of the best. A great effort by the young Croatian baritones.
