HNS opens official World Cup fan zones in Zagreb & Rijeka

ZAGREB, 12 June 2026 – The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) will open its official fan zone, known as the Vatrena Zone, on Zagreb’s Cvjetni Square (Petar Preradović Square) from 17 June, providing supporters with a central gathering place during the FIFA World Cup.

The fan zone will operate daily throughout Croatia’s participation in the tournament and will offer a range of activities and entertainment for visitors of all ages.

At the heart of the venue will be a large LED screen broadcasting World Cup matches, while special programmes and events will be organised on days when the Croatian national team is in action.

In addition to live match screenings, visitors can expect various fan activities, entertainment features and experiences designed for both children and adults.

The initiative aims to transform Cvjetni Square into a focal point for supporters looking to share the atmosphere of the world’s biggest football tournament.

Entry to the Vatrena Zone will be free of charge.

Further details about the programme and additional attractions are expected to be announced soon through the Croatian Football Federation’s official communication channels.

Alongside the open-air fan zone in Zagreb’s city centre, HNS will also organise two additional Vatrena Zones during the World Cup – one at Tvornica Kulture in Zagreb and another at Pogon in Rijeka.

These venues will host some of the largest organised World Cup viewing events in Croatia, offering fully enclosed and air-conditioned spaces, accompanied by entertainment programmes, live music, partner activations and competitions for visitors.

While Cvjetni Square will serve as the main outdoor gathering point, the Zagreb and Rijeka indoor venues will provide a distinct city atmosphere and full-day programmes combining football, entertainment and social activities in unique settings.

The initiative is designed to bring supporters together across multiple locations as Croatia prepares for another World Cup campaign, offering fans opportunities to follow the tournament in a communal and festive environment.
