Hero’s Welcome in Tuzla for Legendary Croatia Coach

CroatiaWeekLegendary football coach Miroslav ‘Ćiro’ Blažević was given a hero’s welcome in Tuzla on Friday as he arrived to put pen to paper in a deal that will see him manage Sloboda Tuzla in the Bosnia and Herzegovina 1st division…

“He has proven he is a great man and we Tuzla people will know how to appreciate him. The whole city was ecstatic about his arrival. Simply, you gotta love Ćiro,” said one fan as the World Cup bronze medalist with Croatia arrived in town.

Blažević who turns 79 earlier next month, was officially the oldest coach in charge of a 1st division club in the whole of Europe earlier this year when he was coach of NK Zagreb,  has also coached in China, Switzerland and Iran and says he has not joined Sloboda Tuzla for the money but to help the club out.
