HDZ Want Zvonimir Boban To Run For Mayor

Former Croatia football captain and AC Milan legend Zvonimir Boban has turned down an offer from Croatia’s leading opposition party to stand as its candidate for Mayor of the capital Zagreb, writes daily Jutarnji list.

The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) reportedly approached Boban, who completed a history degree at Zagreb University after retiring in 2002, to run for Mayor, but the former midfield maestro was not interested.
