Great Wall Of Croatia To Promote Tourism

Famous Croatian cellist Ana Rucner has again played an instrumental part in another tourist video set to promote Croatia around the world. Rucner has filmed a new music spot in the town of Ston, on the Peljesac peninsular titled “Ston Wall-The 2nd Largest Wall in the World”.

Ston, which was once a major fort, is famous for its stone walls. The defensive walls were regarded as a notable feat of medieval architecture, with the Great Wall measuring around 5km.

The idea for the new promotional video came about when Rucner was filming a video in China on the Great Wall of China, and she had a desire to connect the two stories about the two biggest walls in the world. Ana plays Beethoven’s 5th symphony on Ston’s walls together with the symphony orchestra from Dubrovnik.

Whilst the Rucner is playing viewers will be shown an array of scenes promoting the beauty and delicacies of Ston, such as its famous oysters, salt vineyards and of course its walls. The music promo video has been produced in cooperation with Ston Tourist Board and the Croatian National Tourist Board.
