Government Publishes State-Owned Property Register

The register has a total of 362,628 properties, of which 2,109 are listed as buildings or building land. 27,790 are listed as residential buildings, 8,414 offices, 940 buildings used by government bodies and 24 villa’s or residential properties. 630 properties that are used for the purpose of preserving the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Croatia are on the list, as are 690 shares in trading companies.

It is the first time in 23 years that the public can access such a register, detailing all state-owned property. Recently the total value of all property owned by the Croatian state totalled 32 million euros, putting Croatia in third place in Europe for wealth of state property.
