ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) – A 15 year old girl who was badly injured yesterday in the earthquake in Zagreb has died, Dr Goran Roic, the Director of the Children’s Hospital, confirmed on Monday.
“Despite all medical efforts to save her, the girl succumbed to the grave injuries,” Roic told Hina.
The fifteen-year-old was injured during the earthquake in Đorđićeva street in downtown Zagreb on Sunday morning.
A total of 27 people were injured in the earthquake. Numerous buildings were damaged, including many old buildings in the centre of Zagreb. The earthquake, which measured 5.5 on the Richter scale, was the strongest in 140 years.
