Gibonni to perform at Adria Tour tennis tournament in Zadar

ZAGREB, 11 JUNE 2020 – Croatian singer Zlatan Stipišić Gibonni will perform for fans at the Adria Tour which will take place at ŠC Višnjik in Zadar this month. 

The Adria Tour is a series of tournaments being organised by world number one Novak Djoković,. Zadar will host on 19 – 21 June with the tournament set to feature Djoković and Croatian aces Borna Ćorić and Marin Čilić.

Gibonni will perform a special concert on Friday, June 19 at 9 p.m. after answering a call from Tournament Director Goran Ivanišević. 

“When my friend Goran called me in the middle of isolation and asked if I would sing in Zadar, I replied: When do I need to come? At that moment, I didn’t even know what kind of humanitarian action it was,# Gibonni said, adding: “Knowing Goran and Marin personally, and what I know about Novak, it was clear to me that it was a matter of good intentions and good energy. I am glad to be a part of such a good story.”

Gibonni will perform some oil his biggest hits from his career which has seen him win 40 Croatian Porin music awards and become the most award-winning Croatian artist.

The co-organiser of the Zadar tournament is the Croatian Tennis Association, and part of the funds raised is intended for the construction of the National Tennis Center in Zagreb.

Ivanišević has no doubt that the event in Zadar will be a real tennis spectacle. “The tournament will be played on clay and we were ready for hardcourt, but Novak’s team still decided for clay. This is a world opportunity to show Zadar and Croatia in a beautiful light, as a ‘corona-free’ country and to attract tourists.”

Tickets for the Adria Tour can be purchased on www.ulaznice.hr at prices of 120, 140, and 170 kuna. The Gibonni concert is available exclusively to Adria Tour visitors with a ticket purchased for Friday, June 19th.
