Germans Make up 36% of Tourists in Croatia in September

Croatia161Germans made up 36% of all tourists in Croatia in September, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics…

Results in from September show that there were 1% more local and foreign tourists in Croatia compared to the same period last year, whilst overnight stays for the same month were up 2%. Foreign tourists made up 91.1% of all tourists in September, again up 1% from last September. The number of local tourists (8.9%) were on a par with 2013.

The largest share of foreign tourists, 35.9%, were arrivals from Germany, with Austrians in second place (9.2%), followed by the Czechs (7.1%). Total tourist arrivals for the year up to the end of September totalled 12.05 million, up 5% from last year. Overnight stays, which totalled 63,702,000, were up 2.5% from the same period last year.
