“Geeks on a Plane” Land in Zagreb

Lead by the prominent leader of leading American startup accelerator 500 Startups Dave McClure, the popular “Geeks on a Plane” technology conference opened today in the Croatian capital Zagreb.

Organised by 500 Startups, Geeks on a Plane is an invite-only tour for startups, investors and executives to learn about burgeoning technology markets worldwide.

Besides McClure as keynote speaker, the programme will feature a competition of 20-ambitious startup teams who have developed projects targeting the global market. The conference has arrived and the Croatia’s Minister of Business and Trade Gordan Maras is attending the conference.

“I prepared a speech for today, but I wont deliver it, I would rather get down to business. Geek friends, today you will see that Croatia is an unexplored treasure for hi-tech investment and the Croatian government will stand firmly behind any new investments, especially in the hi-tech sector,” said Minister Maras.
