ZAGREB, 7 April 2026 – A popular free transport service has returned to the streets of central Zagreb as the warmer months arrive.

The small electric vehicles known as Fulir resumed operations today and will run daily until the end of October, providing easy transport across the city’s pedestrian zone.

The service connects some of the busiest locations in the heart of the Croatian capital, including Ban Jelačić Square, Zrinjevac Park, Kaptol, Cvjetni Square, as well as Tkalčićeva and Teslina streets and other parts of the pedestrian zone.

Designed as a simple and accessible way to move around the city centre, Fulir is particularly helpful for elderly residents and people with reduced mobility. However, the service is open to everyone, including visitors who need transport to the edges of the pedestrian area.

The vehicles operate every day, including weekends and public holidays, from 08:00 to 20:00, weather permitting.

Passengers can simply flag down a passing vehicle or call a driver directly on 091 1111 425 or 091 1111 426.

Beyond its practical function, Fulir has become known for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The electric vehicles move slowly through the busy pedestrian streets, prioritising pedestrians and offering a calmer, more enjoyable way to travel through the city centre.

The service has quickly become part of everyday life in Zagreb. During the previous season, Fulir transported nearly 17,000 passengers.

Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomašević said the initiative shows how small projects can make a meaningful difference in residents’ daily lives.

“Fulir is a small project that makes a big difference, allowing citizens to move around the city easily, safely and with dignity,” Tomašević said.

He added that practical initiatives aimed at improving everyday life are an important part of the vision for Zagreb as a city open to all residents and visitors.
