For all of us eagerly awaiting word from what instantly became our favourite summer festival, news of FOR returning to open the summer music season on the Croatian coast in the most lavish of styles couldn’t come any sooner. June 19 – 22 is the time FOR life’s true pleasures: fantastic music and early summer chillin’ on the beautiful island of Hvar…
Promising to keep the formula that instantly set this festival apart from the ever-richer summer music season in Croatia and gave it its recognizable hedonist flair – a relaxed and intimate festival atmosphere with heaps of trailblazing music, stunning venues and the magic of the first summer rays – the 2nd edition of FOR, with its announcement of the first round of acts, is an event not to be missed.
From the London-based “nu-ravers” and Mercury Prize winners Klaxons to celebrity’s favourite turntablist and Amy Winehouse’s legendary Back to Black producer Mark Ronson confirmed, this year’s edition already promises to deliver on the high expectations set up by last year’s amazing line-up.
As if these acts alone were not reason enough to set all other plans aside, the line-up keeps on popping out names like this was the last festival before doomsday…
And for all those Nicolas Jaar fans, 2014 promises yet another spectacular gig! Joining forces with his touring guitarist Dave Harrington, one of our last year’s personal favourite is returning once again in the form of Darkside to heat up things at the Veneranda club.
Discounted tickets for the EX YU region are already available, so make sure to score yours on time, because the festival folks are intent on keeping the festival in the intimate circle of 2,500 pleasure mongers with a knack for some seriously good music…
