Finance Minister Expects 1.7 Percent Economic Growth

The Croatian government is expecting economic growth of 1.7 percent next year, and the 2013 budget will be shaped around those forecasts, announced the Minister of Finance Slavko Linic today.

“If you want a passive government, then it will be easy to come out with a projection of zero percent in 2013. The rate of 1.7 percent is ambitious and the government knows that it must do everything possible to initiate this economic cycle, Linic said at the Big Plans Conference day.

Linic said that investment was a key point in the governments plan to kick-start the economic growth next year, reported Jutarnji list.
