FIFA Rankings: Croatia Officially 4th In The World

Last month Croatia Week reported that Croatia were set to jump 5 places and be ranked the 4th best football team in the world when the latest FIFA rankings were next released. FIFA today have confirmed that report when it officially released its latest rankings.

Igor Stimac’s side sit in 4th place with 1191 points, putting them just behind Argentina. England have dropped down into 7th place.

The new ranking will be Croatia’s best since the golden generation of 1998 under coach Miroslav Ciro Blazevic, who were ranked 3rd in the world at the time after winning bronze at the FIFA World Cup in France.
