Fiery Reception for UEFA Delegates as they Dine at a Restaurant in Split

Police were called to a restaurant in the city centre just after 10:30 pm last night after a group of around 15 youngsters gate crashed an informal dinner between the UEFA and Croatian FA referees. According to sports daily Sportske novosti, the group burst into the restaurant and began chanting, before unraveling a banner which read ‘UEFA Mafia’ and lighting two flares.

When one of the guests at the restaurant called the police, the group made a run for it. Nobody was hurt or arrested during the incident. (pic: illustration)
