FASHION THEATRE *** Comes To Opatija

The fashion show FASHION THEATRE *** is set to take place in the western Croatian town of Opatija on 24 July. FASHION THEATRE *** derives from Théâtre de la Mode (Fashion Theatre), which from 1945-1946 was a touring exhibition of fashion dolls which were around 1/3 of human size and made from the best Paris fashion designers of the time. This year’s FASHION THEATRE *** held at one of the Adriatic’s finest establishments, Beach & Cocktail Bar Colosseum, will feature three young talented designers from Montenegro, Serbia and Croatia. The designers are:

Nevenka also had a fashion show as part of an homage to Christian Dior at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, and as part of the Lift by Perwoll competition on Flower square (cvjetni trg) in Zagreb. She also presented at the  “Young Creative Chevrolet” and “Dreft Next Generation” competitions and on the “Lijepa nasa Sava” project. Buzov is the designer and illustrator for the fashion brand “Aurpegia”. Her collection is inspired by the floral ornamentation of Art Nouveau architecture, visible on her actual designs, and also the form of creation finds its source from the Art Nouveau style of paintings. A woman wearing it is at the same time bold, elegant and gentle, cocooned beneath an armor of sophistication.

Anna Licina

ANNA LICINA (Montenegro) – Anna was born in Ruanda before moving to Belgium at the age of 7 and then later to Serbia. She studied fashion at ”L’institut superieur des arts appliques” in Paris. After gaining experience as a stylist at “pret a porter” and as an independent designer, she moved to Montenegro. Her ‘Poison Woman’ collection which she will present is inspired by Cleopatra, a symbol of beauty and power. There is an emphasis on draped hips that emphasize femininity on her models, with the stomach is often detected, or nearly. A strong emphasis is placed on the power of women: motherhood.

Danka Karovic

DANKA KAROVIC (Serbia) – Danka graduated from art school for design textiles and clothing, as well as high school for textile design, technology and management. She founded her own fashion brand “DNK Code” which she is fully dedicated to. Besides participating at the Belgrade Fashion Week three times, she has taken part at the Belgrade Art Week and at various humanitarian fashion shows, at shows as part of PR days, and was twice a guest designer at a blogging competition show. She also presented models as part of the Miss Net Auto. “My design is unique, based on constant research of the form. Travelling through different styles can be seen, because that is a special challenge for me. I do not like monotony, which makes it difficult to give each collection something new and different. I create for people who stand out from the crowd for their attitude and awareness that they themselves are unique. ” says Danka.

Slavica Nogulovic

Slavica Nogulovic, Montenegro’s representative for Miss Tourism International will be a special guest at the event. Snjezana Tuhtan & Salon Aniks will be in charge of hairstyles on the night, whilst the make up will be done by professional makeup artist Leana Garcev & Studio Calebi.
