Embarrassed Politician to Auction off BMW

The head of the northern Croatian county of Međimurje is to auction off his luxury BMW, because he says he is too embarrassed to drive it in these times…

Matija Posavec is to auction off his black BMW and will donate the proceedings to help purchase a new van needed  to transport around a 16-year-old girl who suffers from cerebral palsy in his county. When the politician heard of the fundraising efforts, he decided to put his luxury BMW up for auction as he felt uncomfortable driving. Posavec says that he will donate the money and will drive his 8-year-old Ford instead.
