Zagreb’s Franjo Tuđman Airport in Croatia’s capital welcomed its one-millionth passenger this afternoon, the earliest it has done in its 56-year history.

Last year the airport welcomed its 1 millionth passenger on 30 May.

“We have welcomed the earliest millionth passenger in the history of Zagreb airport! Our passenger Višnja Mrazovac with her husband Danijel was informed about the joyful news while checking-in on the Emirates flight to Dubai. The millionth passenger was presented with two return tickets to Dubai, courtesy of Emirates, while Zagreb International Airpot and Aelia Duty Free Shop awarded the passenger with a gift card,” Zagreb Airport said.
