Dynamo Kiev 2:0 Dinamo Zagreb

Zagreb are still pointless in the UEFA Champions League after 13 years after going down 2-0 to Dynamo Kiev in Kiev tonight.

Dynamo Kiev shocked the Croatian champions in just the 3rd minute when Gusev headed home former Zagreb player Ognjen Vukojevic’s cross. Kiev doubled the lead in the 33rd minute when Dinamo defender Josip Pivaric deflected a cross into his own net, leaving goal-keeper Ivan Kelava helpless.

Dinamo created a couple of chances but were outplayed by the Ukrainian side. Dinamo’s latest international Sammir, the Brazilian Croatian passport holder, had a disappointing match and was taken off late in the second half.
