Dutch discount retailer Action, known as the fastest-growing non-food discounter in Europe, has officially announced its entry into both the Croatian and Slovenian markets.
According to the company’s latest financial report for the first quarter of 2025, the first Action stores in Croatia are set to open sometime next year, Jutarnji list reported.
Action currently operates around 3,000 stores across 13 European countries.
The retailer plans to expand to Romania by the end of this year, with Croatia and Slovenia to follow in 2026.
“We plan to open at least one new store every day this year. Next year, we will begin operations in two new countries – Croatia and Slovenia. This expansion responds to customer demand and allows more people to enjoy what Action has to offer,” said CEO Hajir Hajji, commenting on the company’s quarterly results.
Known for its wide range of affordable household products, seasonal items, and non-food goods, Action has built a reputation across Europe for offering value for money and a constantly changing assortment.
While specific locations and opening dates have yet to be revealed, further details are expected soon.
