Drama in Downtown Zagreb as Man Opens Fire When Evictors Turn Up

When authorities turned up to the man’s flat in downtown Zagreb on Flower square Just after 11:00am on Monday morning to evict him, they found he had barricaded himself, his wife and 14-year-old daughter inside the flat. The man made his intentions clear that he was not going anywhere and then began to fire a number of shots in the air as a warning. Special forces police then were called to the scene and they managed to successfully enter the apartment and take the man into custody.

It was reported that the family had lived in the apartment for the last 10 years, but due to debts the bank had sold the property. An earlier attempt to evict the family failed two months ago says 24sata, when only two people turned up to execute the eviction. On Monday the police accompanied them before the special forces were called in when things turned ugly. Nobody was injured in the fracas. (pic: Twitter)
