Double-Digit Growth in May as Zagreb’s Popularity Among Tourists Grows

CroatiaZagreb’s popularity as a tourist destination continues to grow….

In the month of May this year, 94,915 tourists visited Croatia’s capital, 17% more than came in the same period last year. According to data from Zagreb Tourist Board, in May 2013 there were 81,471 visitors. Overnight stays this year is also up 17%, a great sign for a city currently experiencing a tourist boom after spending decades in the shadow of the country’s spectacular coast.

So far in 2014 a total of 286,381 tourists have visited Zagreb, up 11% from the same period last year. The most arrivals this May have come from South Korea, USA, Germany, Bulgaria and Italy.
