Dinamo Zagreb v Hajduk Split Derby This Weekend

The biggest derby in Croatian football is set to take place again this weekend in Croatia when Dinamo Zagreb meet Hajduk Split in the 10th round of the Croatian first division at Zagreb’s Maksimir stadium on Saturday night.

The match falls on the birthday of Dinamo Zagreb’s coach Ante Cacic, and Cacic says that a win will be the perfect gift on his 59th birthday.

“I want to remember this birthday in a good way, and I hope I do. If we beat the “whites” then I will remember it forever,” said Cacic.

Dinamo’s new Croatian international Sammir will lead the Zagreb side in what promises to be a close encounter after their rivals from Split have found some recent form. Hajduk Split are currently 5 points behind league leaders Dinamo.
