Dinamo Zagreb beat Anderlecht in Brussels last night 2-0 to advance to the quarter-final of the UEFA Youth Champions League…

Dinamo Zagreb, renowned for having one of the best youth set ups in the world, were too good for Anderlecht and will now host Barcelona in Zagreb in the quarter-final.

“Barcelona are a good side, excellent in fact, it is Barcelona we are talking about. But we are better. We believe in ourselves and we are going to the end,” said Dinamo’s goalscorer last night Amer Gojak.

Dinamo will face Barcelona on the main pitch at Maksimir stadium with a big crowd expected to turn up to see the Zagreb side have a chance to make it through to the semi-final of the UEFA Youth Champions League.

Dinamo met Barcelona over a year ago at a tournament in Hungary. That day the match finished 0-0 with Barcelona winning on penalties. Dinamo Zagreb advanced out of their group which featured Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Olympiakos, the same sides as the senior team faced in their group.

Dinamo will face Barcelona in Zagreb on 9 March 2016.
