Dinamo Zagreb Cash in on the Dress That ‘Broke the Internet’

dzIt is now known as the ‘dress that broke the internet’, and Croatian football champions Dinamo Zagreb are looking to cash in on its popularity…

Scottish singer Caitlin McNeill sparked a worldwide debate last week about the colour of her dress when she posted a photo of it on social media Tumblr to get some opinions.

‘Guys please help me – is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can’t agree and we are freaking the f*** out.’ she wrote, expecting to get some feedback, but never in her wildest dreams did she expect what followed.

When BuzzFeed got in on the act and fueled the debate it went viral. Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Ellen DeGeneres all then threw in their 5 cents worth on the topic, helping to it to create a social media storm.

Dinamo Zagreb, who staunchly promote their ‘blue’ colours, have used the popularity of the dress for their own marketing gain.

“Only Dinamo is the colour blue’ – says the club in advertising its home strip. (photo / gnkdinamo)
