22-year-old Croatian swimmer Dina Levačić is set to attempt another amazing feat in the water this weekend.

Levačić, who is from Solin near Split, will aim to become the first female Croatian to swim the grueling 42 km Molokai Channel in Hawaii.

She will set off on the 42 km swim between Molokai and Oahu on Saturday 25 August.

Dina arrived in Hawaii earlier this week to prepare for the what one of the most challenging swims. The Croatian open water swimmer will face strong currents, big waves and will have to negotiate swimming at night and sea creatures like jellyfish.

Dina completed the Triple Crown last year when she swam across the English Channel (34 km), between Catalina Island and the California mainland (32.5 km) and done the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim (48.5 km).

Only 143 people had done the Triple Crown, but only five of those have done it within 90 days at the time Dina completed it.
