Different Advent in Rijeka this year but still with magical holiday atmosphere

RIJEKA, 13 November 2020 – This year’s Advent in Rijeka will be completely different from the previous ones, but there will still be that magical holiday atmosphere in the air with half a million lights already set up and ready to be turned on.
The lights on Trsatska gradina and Rijeka’s Korzo will be lit soon but due to epidemiological measures, which are constantly changing, there will be no concerts, theatre performances, or amusement parks at this year’s Advent.
“There will be open-air nativity scenes, 22 small houses with offers from family farms. I believe that this year citizens and visitors will be able to get acquainted with a wider range of indigenous products,” the director of the Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka Petar Škarpa told HRT.

“Ambient decor of more than 12 kilometres of lamps, the largest European crown, a unique Christmas nativity scene. As for upgrading the whole story through the content components, we will still wait a while, Vedran Babić, the organizer of Advent at Trsatska gradina said.
