Destination Zadar Becoming Increasingly Popular

The world’s biggest online booking site, Booking.com, which processes more than 550,000 room nights reservations daily, have published the latest information about Zadar, proving that the sunny Dalmatian city is becoming more and more popular among both local and international tourists.

According to Booking.com data, there were 265 accommodation choices in 2013, with that number growing to over 1,200 today. The site says that most visit Zadar because of the old town, followed by the food, the world-famous sunset, beaches and its rich history. Booking.com’s says that Germans were the number one visitors to Zadar in 2015, followed by the French, local Croatians, Brits, Italians, Spanish, South Koreans, Austrians, Belgians and Swedes.

“In the last 3 years Zadar has experienced a significant increase in the number of partners who collaborate with Booking.com. Today the number of accommodation facilities has increased five times from 2013. In the coming years we expect continued growth since Zadar is one of the top destinations in Croatia and increasingly recognised in traditional and new markets,” Booking.com Regional Manager Goran Pleše told Poslovni dnevnik.

Booking.com also revealed the 3 accommodation facilities in Zadar with the highest average points ratings for excellence, location, charm and a host of other details. They were Zadar Center Apartments, Evergreen Apartment and Apartment Maraschino.
