Davor Šuker in the Bahamas Helping Local Football

CWCroatian FA President Davor Šuker is off to the idyllic Turks & Caicos Islands in the Bahamas this week as Croatia lends a hand out to the small nation…

Former Real Madrid striker Šuker will attend the Turks & Caicos Islands Football Association’s (TCIFA) Grassroots Development Programme in Providenciales. The Turks and Caicos Islands, which lie southeast of Mayaguana in the Bahamas island chain, only has a population of 31,000 people and the FA is grateful for the visit.

“We welcome Mr Šuker to our Islands and thank him for his keen interest in what we are trying to achieve through our youth football development programmes. What better way is there for kids to learn than to be coached by a World Cup legend,”  said Chris Bryan, President of the TCIFA.

Šuker , who will present the TCIFA FA will equipment and kit donated by the Croatian FA, will also put budding strikers at the academy there through their paces with a special coaching clinic, said the Bahamas Weekly.
