Croats Abroad Weekend Roundup: Jelavic Saves Everton, Eduardo Finally On Board

Croatian international Nikica Jelavic was the hero for his Everton side in their come from behind win over Sunderland in the English Premiership on the weekend. Everton went behind 1-0 but equalised in the 76th minute before Jelavic scored the match winner in the 79th minute.

In the Ukrainian championship Eduardo da Silva scored his first goal of the season for his club Shakhtar. Fellow Croatian international Darijo Srna set up Da Silva to score in their 4-0 win over rivals Metalurga.

A draw in Russia for Slaven Bilic’s Lokomotiv Moscow relieved a bit of pressure on him but it still means his side have gone 7 matches with out a win. Luka Modric played no part in Real Madrid’s 2:1 win against Levante on Sunday night.
