ZAGREB, 19 June 2019 – The Croaticum Summer School of the Croatian Language and Culture is set to start next week in the capital Zagreb.
Starting on 26 June, Croaticum Summer School of the Croatian Language and Culture is held over three weeks and consists of 75 lessons about Croatian language and culture (75×45 minutes; 4 language lessons per day, 2 lessons of speech exercises per week and 9 culture lessons during three weeks).
Classes are held every working day in the morning and early afternoon.
Croaticum Summer School of the Croatian Language and Culture is accredited as a Croatian Language and Culture Course. Successful completion of the programme earns students 4 ECTS credits.
Places are still available and applications to join are still being accepted.
Classes are organised in diverse groups of students speaking different languages and belonging to different nationalities and age groups. Groups are formed on the basis of the results of Croatian language placement tests.
Regular attendance and a passing grade in the final exam are required for a successful completion of Croaticum Summer School of the Croatian Language and Culture.
The minimum number of students necessary to organise group lessons is 5 per level. If a group cannot be formed due to an insufficient number of enrolled participants, language classes may be organised in smaller groups with fewer lessons. Alternatively, students can be offered 15 individual language lessons. In case classes are organised in smaller groups or as individual lessons, the number of lessons dedicated to culture and speech exercises remains the same.
