DOHA, 23 March 2019 – Croatia’s best gymnast, Tin Srbić, has won the gold medal at the 12th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Qatar on Saturday.

Srbić once again was too good for the competition in the Men’s Horizontal Bar and won gold in Doha today at the World Cup with 14,400 points.

The 22-year-old from Zagreb said everything just fell into place today, despite it being the hardest performance of his career so far.

“This was the most difficult performance of my career. I don’t know why but it was tough. I went last and I knew that if I done everything as I should then I would be first,” Tin said after winning gold.

Japan’s Hidetaka Miyachi won the silver medal with 14,300 points, whilst Randy Leru from Cuba won bronze with 14,000 points. Current world champion, Holland’s Epke Zonderland, finished in 7th position.

This is the fifth gold medal for the Croatian gymnast who next will compete in the  European Championships, which will be held in Szczecin, Poland.
