Croatia’s Most Famous Hollywood Export Gets U.S Citizenship

He won over American hearts when he appeared as Dr. Luka Kovac in the hit television series ER, now 15 years after arriving in Hollywood Croatian actor Goran Visnjic is to finally become an American citizen.

Visnjic (40) was a budding 25-year-old actor when he left Croatian shores to try his luck in the States and he has not looked back, starring in a host of American and British films and becoming Croatia’s most well-known actor.

Visnjic, who has trained kung fu for the past 10 years told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel that he recently had to take a test to become a U.S citizen. “Yes, I had to take the test…I done pretty well in it,” said the Rounders, Beginners, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and Red Widow star.
