Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic has accepted the resignation of his Ministry of Tourism on Saturday. Veljko Ostojic resigned from his post claiming that built up pressure caused by unfounded accusations was the reason behind his decision
“I am resigning as tourism minister in the Croatian government over pressure exerted on me, which is the result of unfounded accusations and untruths. This large-scale campaign has prevented me from doing my job following professional standards which my team and I had set in the Ministry in the past period,” Ostojic said in the statement.
Ostojic wished the Ministry well as he departed, saying that he hoped that it would continue on the same path.
