Croatia’s Marko Bošnjak misses out on Eurovision final

Marko Bošnjak took to the Eurovision stage on Tuesday night, performing in the first semi-final of the competition held at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland.

Despite delivering a passionate performance, the Croatian singer unfortunately did not advance to the grand final.

Marko, who was joined on stage by dancers Ana Erić, Lora Marija Kolar, Nikolina Roso, and Tatjana Bogomolec. The group wore custom-designed costumes by acclaimed young designer Valentina Pliško, while the choreography was done by Helena Janjušević.

Despite not making it to the final, Marko remained upbeat and gracious:

“Even though we didn’t make it to the final, I’m incredibly happy and proud that we had the chance to represent Croatia at Eurovision! Thank you to my amazing team, to everyone who supported us, and to all who gave us their vote and believed in us. I hope we lived up to your expectations—we truly gave it our all on that Eurovision stage. I wish the best of luck to all the finalists. We’ll be watching and cheering you on!” Marko said following the show.

The second semi-final takes place on Thursday, 15 May, with the grand final scheduled for Saturday, 17 May.
