Croatia’s Franko Škugor claims the 2018 Swiss Indoors doubles title

Croatia’s Franko Škugor has claimed the 2018 Swiss Indoors doubles title in Basel on Sunday with his partner Dominic Inglot. 

Škugor and Brit Inglot beat Germany’s Zverev brothers, Alexander and Mischa, in the final on Sunday 6-2, 7-5. 

The 2018 Swiss Indoors was the 49th edition of the event which is part of the 500 series of the 2018 ATP World Tour. In the singles, Roger Federer claimed his 99th career title with victory over Marius Copil 7-6, 6-4. 

Škugor, who is 31, has now won three tour doubles titles this year now with Inglot. They won the Hungarian Open in April and the Rosmalen Championships in Holland in June. 

Škugor is also part of Croatia’s Davis Cup squad.
