Croatia’s Filip Zubcic again second in World Cup giant slalom race

ZAGREB, 9 January (Hina) – Croatia’s Filip Zubcic finished second in the World Cup giant slalom race in Adelboden, Switzerland on Saturday, coming in 1.26 seconds behind France’s Alexis Pinturault who claimed a third consecutive victory this season. Swiss Loic Meillard was third.

Zubcic also finished second on Friday.

Pinturault took the lead in the giant slalom standings with 440 points, 40 points ahead of Swiss Marco Odermatt. Zubcic is third with 368 points.

With 675 points, the Frenchman also leads in the race for the Crystal Globe, ahead of Norway’s Aamodt Kilde with 560 points, Odermatt with 501 points and Zubcic with 455 points.
